A painting from his series, Father Figure, this painting depicts a father-son relationship in a totally unconventional way. Here the artist portrays the relationship he has with his pet dog whom he looks upon as his son. Come with me is a soulful presentation of a father-son relationship portrayed through a game-play by two animals – the horse depicting the father and the dog depicting the son. In a way both are seen to be in a playful mood with each other with the horse chasing the little dog. Another way of looking at it is the way the horse doesn’t fail to follow the dog – depicting the way a father keeps an eye over his son – protecting him from going astray. Both the animal figures are the highlight points in the painting with the background kept as subtle as possible.
